About Dragon Ultrasound
Dragon Ultrasound provides a first-class, affordable ultrasound imaging service to the people of South Wales. Located at Edwards Business Park in Llantrisant, near Pontyclun and Talbot Green, the centre is just 5 minutes from M4 Junction 34, making it easily accessible for residents of Rhondda Cynon Taff, Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, and surrounding areas. The clinic is operated by a team of highly trained, HCPC-registered sonographers who use the latest high-specification equipment to deliver accurate and detailed ultrasound scans.
The centre offers a wide range of ultrasound scans, including pregnancy scans, women’s health checks, men’s health checks, abdominal, kidney, bladder scans, and soft tissue imaging such as lumps, bumps, muscles, and joints.
Opening hours provide flexibility to patients. The clinic is closed on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and bank holidays. Free on-site parking is available for patient convenience.

No prior GP-referral is required. Booking with us includes a GP phone consultation and referral. Shortly after booking you will be contacted by a GP from our team who will discuss your scan and provide a referral.
We usually provide appointments within 2–3 days of booking. We even offer same-day and next-day appointments in selected scan centres.
MRI scans: Provide detailed images of organs, tissues, and the nervous system. They’re commonly used to diagnose brain, spine, joint injuries, and soft tissue conditions.
CT scans: Use X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body, ideal for diagnosing internal injuries, tumors, and detailed organ imaging.
